Embrace the Chill

Call us crazy but we are loving the first signs of cool weather arriving on our doorsteps.

With Autumn taking over from the sultry hot days of February we are embracing the chill with open arms. Our pleasure in the temperature  dropping may have something to do with the kick arse coats we will be sporting this Winter. Already arrived in store is the beautiful Woodcut Coat by Secret Squirrel, a coat for the ages. Brushed wool in murky shade of green, the craftsmanship of this piece is second to none. Soon to arrive in store is the Rittenhouse Tartan Batwing Coat, something of a standout in the Autumn Winter range. The winged sleeves, deep snug pockets and tartan detailing make this statement coat a covetable winter fav. Lastly for the ladies is the Susie Buckle coat by Handsom. Handsom are renowned for their wearable staples and this coat fulfils every inch of their reputation. Keep an eye out for this little cape shaped coat that can be styled with the collar up or down.

Kahlo AW12 Snapshot for Lo & Behold

Meet Kahlo , the fast rising new kids on the block. Sydney based Rachelle Sinclair and Fay Ogundadbjo run the wearable and stylish label 100 percent manufactured on home turf. The duo behind the Aussie label drew considerable attention and acclaim with the launch of their first season in 2011, February will see the arrival of their well put together and inspired second season at Lo & Behold.
Dropping two seasons per year, we will be sampling key pieces from the AW12 collection. A handful of clean lines, aesthetically charming wardrobe staples with an androgynous edge.
Kahlo is the answer to all our wishes: well made, wearable clothing. Indeed, their ethos is to create simple, quality garments that can be worn to look effortlessly stylish.

From the current range we have chosen four standout items: The classic white shirt, a clean, sharp, well structured essential. The tan leather tunic dress, with raw hem and beautiful soft buttery leather. And finally, a relaxed and easy to wear navy/black raglan dress and a grey marle basic cotton jersey tee.
Each of the items pulled from this collection comes with a beautiful touch, a buttery leather, or a soft cotton jersey. The garments are the base item on which you can build your wardrobe, or the pivotal piece that completes your look.

New To The Family, Self-Help Mode

Posted 2011 Nov by Lo and Behold

You know when you meet someone and you just feel instantly comfortable, the perfect fit. This is exactly what happened when we visited the home of Self-Help Mode and met Ziggy & Leisa. The duo, both passionate about the clothes upon their back, your backs and racks of our wardrobes clearly compliment one another and their label. The label pushes the boundaries of gender-defined clothing without a hint of offense.

Through laughter Ziggy took us through the designs, we were invited to share stories from his love of music, daydreaming and the song inspiration behind each garment. The names of which each have it’s very own story.

It is with great pleasure that we introduce Self-Help Mode, a clothing label for Melbournians. Designed, sourced and made in Melbourne; from fun printed tees to asymmetrical tailored shirting. Self-Help Mode are items you can throw on day after day, keep forever and remain stylish. Without further ado, please welcome Self-Help Mode to the Lo & Behold family
